Plum Situation

I started the day cleaning the bathroom, taking care of some  laundry and cleaning up the kitchen from yesterday’s lazy evening. Then breakfast and lots of coffee.. I had plans of sitting on the porch, but we had to go out in the yard and take care of our Plum Situation. The biggest branch on the tree had broken and it was full of plums.

It couldn’t be saved and it’s sad. The other main branches are just as full

so we have tried to support them with planks, ropes and whatever we have at hand, even a broom and some garden tools have been used!  We have to prune and groom that tree seriously after the fruit is eaten when ripened or it will get ruined and we’ll end up with no plums at all. And when there’s been good summers with lots of sun they ar delicious.

Look at all the lost fruit we could have harvested!!!:

I finished the second sleeve on the fish jacket last night so today I’m ready to cast on  the one front part. Going to see Mom for a while. Will bring yarn and needles. The sun is out while raining. If I’m going to make use of the porch today it will have to be underneath the canopy. Which is out already. I know under which conditions I live!
