I thought I could slip away early from work today but no; there was a meeting I had forgotten about so I ended up coming home at five. Had to go to two stores to get some chicken for a chicken salad so that, too, took too much time. And I was hungry as an ox by the time Kristi and I could slouch down in our chairs – in the living room (yes, I admit we did the eat-in-front-of-the-TV-thing) with salad and a sesame seed- and carrot bread. Now there is coffees and anticipation of Olympic events on TV. I have decided to stay home from the knitting cafe in order to be able to watch the cross country sprints AND knit. Carly will be home from Oslo soon and Kristi is getting ready to read for a test.
Anyway: Today I remembered to enlarge the pattern I’m knitting. I have balanced the tiniest one on the armrest of my chair while trying to follow it and knit with long needles . This should help my aging eyes, I think. Hey ho: I’m ready for a knitting night!
