Visitors on a Sunday

Mom came for supper today and also my friend K stopped in briefly to show me the gorgeous Great American Aran Afghan that she had knitted! She lives a good five hour drive from here but her mother lives in town so once in a while we get to see each other for a little while when she’s here. This time we only got to meet up at the market square yesterday – and then today for a few minutes.

After supper my friend R- who usually is based in Spain during the winter and Norway in the summer, came by for coffee and for our dogs to meet. Her Jack Russel is soon to be 10 months old and Emma was beside herself with joy since Amigo was in the mood for senseless play just like she is. He did however try to dominate her, which is not easy since he is so small but in the end he found out he could nip at her ears. This she found bothersome so I had to show him it was not accepted. He was a smart and charming little fellow so he got the message quickly.

Now Emma and I have been out for our evening walk and she is so beat she is sleeping behind the dining room table-a place she rarely goes to. I thinks she is making sure she is undisturbed for a while. And I have lit a candle, dimmed the lights and intend to just relax and do whatever… or nothing at all… for the rest of the evening.
