We slept in on our first morning here at the cottage. No wonder, because three of us stayed up until one in the morning chatting about anything and everything.
Coming in here was a tremendously bumpy ride. The snowmobile track was nothing but up and down due to the packing of the wet snow now that the temperatures are higher. We laughed ourselves silly because inside the trailer was a spring mattress to sit on and that gave extra spring to the bouncing! The “taxi” had to let us off the enclosed trailer we were sitting in order to get up the last stretch to the cottage, but we had our skis tied to Bills snowmobile. When we stepped out of the trailer we sunk down to our hips! So what do you do? You crawl!! What a sight we were. If it wasn’t for the crawling being strenuous we would’ve laughed then too.
Now we’ve had coffees in our new coffee machine. Carly – the Early Bird- has been watching the Easter shows for kids . Yes, she’s 15 but we all watch it occasionally. It’s one of the Easter traditions!
It’s overcast and a bit windy today so I think the day will be mainly used for shovelling a little so the path to the outhouse will get better as well as our seating area outside.
My niece and nephews are coming up to my sisters cottage today so I’m heading over there to see them for sure! The two oldest are 20 and 18 years old- the youngest is 12 and an he lives in a housing project for disabled children and we don’t get to see him quite as often as we would like due to his need for stability and routine.
