My favourite nook

I have been busy at night this week. I was at weaving on Tuesday, Knitting Cafe on Wednesday and today I attended the local annual members’ meeting in our Teachers’ Union followed by a dinner.

I’ve been really busy at work as well . And I got an appointment at the doctor’s next Friday but feel I should go and see if I can get in tomorrow because the infection I’ve had for a bit more than a week is definetly not going away.. And I plan on a full day of grammar studies tomorrow, too. Now I have seated myself in my favourite nook of the living room; the end where the old furniture is. The lighting is dim, the newly dry cleaned carpet under my feet is warm, I’m full from a good dinner.

I feel good about the fact I don’t teach tomorrow, I can bend over  the books drinking coffee at my own schedule. No school bell. Yes, it’s grammar- and that is not my favourite thing- but still. The oldest teen in the house just informed me that she has the day off tomorrow so I don’t have to drive her to school. The yougest teen has been home sick and went back to school today only to come home midday due to headaches. She says she’ll try again tomorrow though.Hubby is home, too.

I stopped in at the library today and borrowed a couple of books. I also got this audio play and I am going to start listening to it now accompanied by a glass of red wine. Maybe that will weigh up for the coffee I had at nine o’clock tonight!
